Beef Systems Short Course-Calhoun County

The Beef Systems Short Course equips beginning livestock producers with the skills needed to manage a beef operation effectively. Alabama Extension animal scientists developed a concentrated curriculum that is most vital for new cattle producers to master. The course is taught by Extension animal science and forages regional agents. Topics covered in the course include the following:
