Alabama Master Naturalist – DeSoto Field Day

7104 DeSoto Parkway NE, Fort Payne, AL 35967

Join the Alabama Master Naturalist program for a fun and informative field day at DeSoto State Park. Alabama Extension has partnered with Alabama State Parks naturalists to provide a day showcasing what makes this part of the state special. Content will include interpretive hikes and opportunities to learn about the history, habitats, plants, and animals of the area.

Please dress appropriately for outdoor activities given the weather conditions. Close-toed shoes that can get muddy should be worn. With this being a full day program that is mostly outdoors, a change of clothes after the programming has concluded is encouraged. Bring bug spray and sunscreen if needed. Also, bring water and a packed lunch. Binoculars will be beneficial, but are certainly not required.

The $15 fee helps cover the cost of this programming. If you decide to enroll in the full Alabama Master Naturalist course, the cost of this event will be deducted from the total price.
