2024 Alabama Grazing Academy – Bullock County

A day-long (8.0 hours) in-depth, producer educational program covering forage production and grazing management. Topics include: Calculating Stocking Rates, Calibrating Herbicide Sprayers, Comparing Costs – Fiber Economics, Demonstrating Manure Distribution, Establishing a Grazing System, Grazing Arithmetic, Grazing Heights and Root Growth, Nature Hates Bare Ground, Soil & Forage Testing, and Temporary Fencing & Rotational Grazing. The training utilizes both classroom presentations and hands-on, field activities.
