ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY, Ala. – Alabama Cooperative Extension System retirees and staff were recently honored at the 10th annual Service is Sovereignty Society (SISS) dinner celebration. The event was Tuesday, Aug, 13 at the Ernest L. Knight Reception Center on the Alabama A&M University campus.
The SISS was established by Alabama A&M University President Andrew Hugine, Jr. in 2010 to “recognize the distinguished work of employees with 30 years of continuous employment.”
Alabama Extension staff member Pam Jude provided remarks as a 2019 SISS inductee.
“I am grateful that I made it to 30 years of service and to be among exceptional company in the Service is Sovereignty Society,” Jude said.

Other Alabama Extension retirees honored that evening included A. Renee Heard, Tommie Teacher, Maria Leite-Browning and Girma Kebede.
“I am very happy to reach retirement and I look forward to new adventures in life,” Kebede said.
