ALABAMA A&M UNIVERSITY, Ala.By 2030, baby boomers born between 1946 and 1964 will be 65 and over, requiring specialized services as they age. Alabama Extension’s Successful Aging Initiative Conference is the ideal event for people to learn how to age successfully.

About the Conference

Action! Creating Your Rhythm is the theme for the Successful Aging Conference 2024. This event promises to equip participants with tools and inspiration to move them on to another exciting chapter in life. Through artistic expression, attendees will learn to create their own rhythm to make deeper connections in their lives and communities.

“SAI 2024 will stress the individuality of aging and the necessity of doing (being active) to get desired results in life,” said Danielle Rudolph, event coordinator and site director of the Virginia Caples Lifelong Learning Institute.

The keynote speaker this year is Amanda Senn, director of the Alabama Securities Commission. In addition, the audience will participate in an interactive exercise with author and educator John Scalici. Scalici uses drumming as a tool for team building, stress relief and community development.
