Alabama Extension’s urban forestry, wildlife, and natural resource management team presents the Environmental Education Virtual Webinar Series. Join us for a public session or reserve a private online series for your teacher group or professional organization.

This free series includes training sessions on traditional conservation topics as well as new and emerging issues in environmental education. These sessions offer effective best management practices, aimed at safeguarding human, animal, and environmental health, and practical solutions to help people reduce their ecological footprint. Whether an educator, environmental professional, or just a nature-lover, everyone can tune in to discover how to become a better steward of the environment and its precious resources.

Continuing Education Units (CEUs) are available to those who attend.*

Where: The webinars are presented through Zoom, an online video presentation format. They are also available through Facebook Live on the Alabama Extension at Alabama A&M University Facebook page.


There is no cost to attend, but registration is required for this webinar series. The Zoom meeting number and link will be provided upon completion of the online registration.

Each webinar offers one professional contact hour by the AAMU/UAH Regional In-service Center on the PowerSchool platform. Continuing Education Units will only be awarded to those who attend the entire session of each webinar in the series. Registration details for PowerSchool will be provided during each webinar session.

UESEP: Urban Environmental Science Education Program provides adults and youth with natural resource conservation strategies that lead to improved environmental awareness and stewardship.

Engaging Citizens through Environmental Education is the UESEP component that provides a framework for citizens to become better environmental stewards by identifying emerging environmental issues and by providing unbiased science-based information to aid in their understanding of these pertinent issues.
