The Show Must Go On! Alabama 4-H Midwinter Teen Retreat 2022

Midwinter Goals

  • Explore new and exciting opportunities in 4-H.
  • Reach out to other young people.
  • Attend workshops to learn valuable leadership skills.
  • Help others through community service.
  • Motivate senior 4-H’ers to stay active on the local level.
  • Make the best better.

The Midwinter Leadership Retreat is for enrolled seniors  (4-H ages 14 to 18).

Midwinter will be held February 4–6, 2022. Registration is now open in 4Honline, and closes January 14, 2022. The cost is $130 and includes lodging, meals, a Midwinter T-shirt, and supplies.

Calling All Performers: Calling all performers! What do you think your job is in the circus? 4-H’ers are going to take an aptitude test to help determine their best leadership qualities!

Becoming a Ringleader: Why just join the circus when you can lead it? This workshop provides 4-H’ers with the opportunity to gain insight and the skills necessary to lead, such as communication skills, team building, and more! Who better than our very own Colton Cook, Alabama 4-H Ambassador President, to lead this workshop!

Carnival Night: Join us for a night of carnival fun! Play games, hang out, and make new friends! Always remember: The Show Must Go On!

4-H Yoga: Let’s face it, a day at the carnival can lead to muscle tightness and fatigue. What’s a better way to recenter yourself than to do some yoga? Practicing yoga can help improve flexibility, strengthen muscles, and improve balance as well as help youth develop lifelong healthy habits that we hope will be sustained long-term.

“POPPING” Into a Leader: 4-H’ers are going to make their very own popcorn mix, but there is a twist! After making their popcorn, they will put their public speaking skills to the test, and tell us all about their popcorn!

Show Me The Money 4-H Foundation Scholarship: Come join us for a hands-on informative session all about the 2022 4-H Foundation Scholarship program. We will show you how to put your best foot forward and highlight your 4-H experiences. Feel free to bring your resume and 4-H Story for feedback.
