“Peaches and tomatoes are high in vitamin C, a powerhouse nutrient that helps heal cuts and wounds, keeps your teeth and gums healthy and helps prevent diseases.”
-Katie Funderburk, Alabama Extension nutrition specialist and registered dietitian
- Three tomatoes, sliced
- One small red onion, sliced
- Three peaches, sliced
- 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
- 1 tablespoon of honey
Ripe peaches only last for a couple of days, so make sure to only purchase amounts that can be used in a timely manner. Also, choose tomatoes that are brightly colored, plump and heavy.
