Because of COVID-19 restrictions, the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and the Alabama Green Industry Training Center, Inc. made the decision to postpone the 2020 Pesticide Applicator University (PAU). At this point, professionals hope to be able to offer the PAU in 2021. When details about the new date have been determined, updates will be made to the online information.

This training event is normally a two day event that usually covers the following pesticide applicator categories:

• Wood Destroying Organisms (WDO)
• Ornamental Turf & Pest Control (OTPS/OTPC)
• Household and Industrial Pest Control (HPC/IIHC)
• Public Health and Aquatic / Mosquito (AQ)

After many requests to bring back “hands-on” training events, professionals will continue to assemble an event that involves both the classroom and demonstration trainings.

PAU would like to offer companies the opportunity to put their brand in front of these key industry professionals by exhibiting their products or services at the conference. Also, there are additional opportunities available for those interested in being a sponsor of the conference. These opportunities could help show attendees a companies commitment to promoting the professionalism of the industry.
