A private applicator uses or supervises the use of any restricted use pesticide for producing any agricultural commodity on property owned or rented or on the property of another person if applied without compensation. The following people must have an applicator permit:

  • farmers
  • nursery owners
  • pond owners
  • forested land owners

If need this permit, there are several great opportunities coming up. The private applicator training courses are set for three locations and dates. The courses are free but you must register. These courses Include 10 AL. CEU’s for Forestry, Ag Plant, and D&R. It is sponsored by ATFA – Alabama TREASURE Forest Association.

Training is free for all REGISTERED users however, the $25.00 fee to complete the private applicator permit is NOT included. Lunch will be provided at each location. You must register online.
