The Alabama Cooperative Extension System Animal Science and Forages team will host a series of forage field days in 2023. These field days will provide a real-time look at current research, discussion of hot topics, and networking opportunities for forage and livestock producers.

Locations

Each year, the team highlights forage work conducted at one of Auburn University’s outlying research centers. This year, the spotlight farm is the Wiregrass Research and Extension Center in Headland, Alabama. This center conducts over 100 research trials per year in row crops, horticulture, beef cattle, and forages. This station will host its statewide forage field day March 16. Additional dates and information for the field days around the state are below.
