The federal government is distributing free at-home test kits to slow the spread of COVID-19 and its variants. Every household in the country is eligible to receive up to four tests. Orders are shipped within seven to twelve days.

Order your test from COVIDtests.gov or on the USPS.com website. Since this is a federal program and a trusted source, then your personal information is expected to be secure. Visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s (CDC) testing guidance webpage for additional information.

N95 Masks

The federal government will also make N95 masks available at local pharmacies and community health centers by the end of February. Visit the CDC’s mask and respirator webpage for more information about protective masks.

AL Voices for Vaccine Survey

Alabama Extension at Alabama A&M University also invites you to make your voice heard by taking a five-minute survey to share experiences with COVID-19 and the vaccine. Your participation supports the development of free resources, clinics, and education throughout the state. Both vaccinated and unvaccinated persons are invited to participate. Go to aces.edu/go/voices to participate.

Questions may be sent to AlabamaVoices@aces.edu.
