All Alabama 4-H Horse Show events, including active education, are cancelled and will not be rescheduled.

AUBURN UNIVERSITY, Ala. – Alabama 4-H is regretfully canceling the Horse Show Riding Events scheduled for April 17-19 in Montgomery.  4-H will be unable to reschedule the riding events before Southern Regional Horse Championships.

The 4-H Horse Active Educational Event on June 2-3 in Auburn is still currently moving forward.

“We will also move our Passive Educational Contests to this Active Educational Event,” said Molly Gregg, assistant director of Alabama 4-H.  “We hope that all our 4-H Horse Project Members will participate in this Educational Event in June.”

Gregg said it was a difficult decision and one not taken lightly, but noted the coronavirus outbreak is impacting everyone’s life.

“The health and well-being of our youth, families, volunteers, and the general public is of the utmost importance to Alabama 4-H,” said Gregg. “We love our youth and strive to provide safe, fun, and educational learning opportunities to all our 4-H members.”
