We have provided the Question and the Answer to the FAQ that you requested!

QUESTION:
Why isn't my water supplier doing something about all these drinking water problems I have been reading about?
ANSWER:
Keep in mind that your water supplier is mandated by law to inform you if there is a real problem with your supply. There are several possible answers as to why you have not received a recent update. (1) The utility may be working on the problem but not informing consumers; construction of new facilities takes a long time. (2) The utility may want to do something about it but doesn't have the financial resources. (3) Because drinking water suppliers are dedicated to providing the best quality drinking water at the least cost to the customer, they may be waiting until all federal regulations are in place before taking action to avoid wasting money on obsolete procedures. Call your utility and find out about your specific situation.
