QUESTION:  
Will pricing of public water supplies become more of a challenge in the future?
ANSWER:  
Yes, especially for small systems. There will be a need to strike a balance between ensuring that water service is not under-priced so that long-term infrastructure can be maintained, but at the same time, keeping prices at a level so that services are affordable for low income individuals living on fixed incomes. Some type of low income subsidization system may be needed in the future.
