The photos below show the work accomplished up to this point on the new faith garden at Salem United Methodist Church in Hartselle, AL. The garden began as an empty corridor sector between two church buildings with poor drainage, some thin grass, and no wall around it. These photos were made after initial groundwork to remove the turf and a lot of the existing gravel had been completed. And, after gutters were added to the buildings and a fountain had been placed in the garden. The later photos show the construction of a concrete area that symbolizes not only a cross but also the four rivers flowing from the garden of Eden. The fountain is now plumbed and electrified, and a 650 pound statue of Jesus has been placed in the S.E. corner of the garden. Much more is coming soon! |
