FY07 U&CF Awards

 

City of Robertsdale ($20,000)

Federal funds will be used to hire qualified contractor to assess urban forest.  Once contractor is selected, will inventory municipal owned trees.  Information will be collected and processed to help city maintain, repair, and replace trees in a systematic manner.


City of Montgomery ($51,970)

Federal funds will be used to complete phase 3 of the city's inventory and infrastructure management project.  This project will continue to increase the scope of the city's tree inventory and add data to the GIS Tree Infrastructure Layer.


City of Florence ($36,618)

Federal funds will be used to complete a CityGreen Ecosystem Analysis of the city's urban forest.  Project will use existing city shapefile data of pervious surfaces overlaid onto satallite imagery to ascertain missing data for impervious surface datasets.


City of Decatur ($10,000)

Federal funds will be used to contract with qualified contractor to inventory trees in Mallard Park.  Information will be used to develop an urban forest managment plan.


City of Birmingham ($35,187)

Federal funds will be used to contract with qualifed contractor to complete phase 3 of city's tree inventory project. The contractor will provide on-site training for the software, and will provide technical support for one year.
