Extension’s Jennifer Wells Recognized as Holmes Scholar

Jennifer Wells, a regional agent in family and child development with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, was recently honored as a Holmes Scholar by the Auburn University College of Education. Wells, one of three 2009 honorees, joined her peers from the class of 2007 and 2008 as they were inducted into the Holmes Scholars Program.

Second Alabama 4-H Wall of Fame Induction is Nov. 13 at 4-H Center in Columbiana

A ceremony honoring 24 new inductees into the Alabama 4-H Wall of Fame will be Nov. 13 at the Alabama 4-H Youth Development Center in Columbiana. The induction is one of many events scheduled to celebrate and remember 4-H accomplishments and people from its first 100 years. The Alabama 4-H centennial celebration began in February 2008 and will continue through December 2009.
