Love golf? Check out the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail at Grand National. It is built on the 600-acre Lake Saugahatchee and is comprised of 36 championship holes along with an 18 hole short course. The 2009 Golf World Reader's Choice Awards ranked Grand National as the top public golf course in America! A golf experience like you have never seen is only a 10 minute ride from the hotel.

 

                          Outdoor Recreation!

Chewacla State Park is within 5 miles of downtown Auburn. The park, which encompasses 696 acres of land, includes a 26-acre lake, 5 vacation cottages, campground, picnic areas, fishing, swimming, hiking, and tennis courts is sure to please everyone in your family!

                

 

                     History and Heritage!

Visit historic Tuskegee, Alabama, only 30 minutes from Auburn. At the George Washington Carver Museum on the Tuskegee University campus, study exhibits of Carver's work, samples of his watercolors, and artifacts from his library. You can also tour The Oaks, Booker T. Washington's personal residence. Be sure and visit Tuskegee Airmen National Historic Site which is only a few minutes from Tuskegee University.

                   

                An Out-of-This-World Experience!

While in Alabama you should not miss visiting the NASA Space and Rocket Center and Museum. Six NASA astronauts have graduated from Auburn University and went on to complete a mission in space. Whether young, or simply young at heart, there is something for you to see and enjoy at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville, Alabama.
