Mark D. Smith is an extension specialist and associate professor with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System in the School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences at Auburn University. Mark received a B.S. in Fisheries and Wildlife from Michigan State University (1994) and after spending 2.5 years working temporary research positions with the Missouri Department of Conservation returned to academia to earn an M.S. in Wildlife Sciences (2001) and Ph.D. in Forest Resources (2004) from Mississippi State University working with northern bobwhites. Mark’s extension and research interests focus primarily on wild pig damage management and applied land management for wildlife.
