MEETING FACILITIES &
HISTORIC AREA

With more than 25 meeting rooms, Jackson's Mill can accommodate groups of 10 to 450.  Each room is equipped with a full range of audio-visual equipment including TVs, VCRs, overhead projectors and slide projectors.  Each is capable of receiving downlink satellite programs, and wall-projection video is available as well.  A state-of-the-art computer lab makes Jackson's Mill one of the most advanced facilities in the area for all your meeting or conference needs.

The Invitational uses two of the campus buildings, the Assembly Hall and Jackson Lodge, extensively for group meetings and programs, the 'indoor' contest events, and the Wednesday evening pizza party.

The old mill where Thomas 'Stonewall' Jackson worked as a boy was the beginning of Jackson's Mill's Historic Area--a growing attraction.  Highlighting the Historic Area are the McWhorter Cabin, a 200-year-old structure; Blaker's Mill, an operating grist mill; the Mary Conrad Cabin, which houses 'The General Store'; the Mountain State Building, a multipurpose building; and a blacksmith shop.  The Historic area is open to the public during the summer; call Jackson's Mill for days and hours of operation.  Conference groups may make special arrangements to tour the area at other times.

Jackson's Mill is a special place West Virginians have known about for years.

Operated by the West Virginia University Extension Service, Jackson's Mill is open 365 days a year for meetings, conferences, and other activities.
