Grafton William B. Grafton

Bill earned both his Bachelors and Masters degrees in forestry from West Virginia University plus has taken additional classes at Colorado State University and the University of Arizona. During his tenure at WVU, Bill has conducted numerous environmental studies/surveys for various state and federal agencies, prepared numerous factsheets on forestry and wildlife, written project manuals for 4-H forestry and wildlife, co-edited two proceedings of major conferences on 
income opportunities for natural resources, and taught classes and seminars and conducted contests and competitive events for youth.

Some of Bill's career achievements and awards include the 1970 Governor's Award for Environmental Education, WVU Outstanding Teacher 1974-75, and served as president of the following organizations: WV Society of American Foresters, 1975-76; The Brooks Bird Club, 1984-85; WV Chapter-The Nature Conservancy, 1988-89; and the WV Native Plant Society, 1983, 1984 and 1999.
