Tommy is a County Extension Coordinator with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System in Tallapoosa County.

He received his BS in Agricultural Science from Auburn University in 1971 and his M.Ed. in Vocational and Adult Education from Auburn University in 1990.

Prior to his Extension appointment, Tommy farmed full-time from 1971 to 1985 raising hogs, cattle, and hay.  He joined the Alabama Cooperative Extension System in 1985 as an Assistant County Agent.  He is currently serving as County Extension Coordinator.
Tommy coached Alabama's forestry teams to a 1st and 3rd Place finish in the 1991 and 1993 National 4-H Forestry Invitational, respectively.
