Dr. Yong-Lak Park

Assistant Professor at West Virginia University.

   Dr. Park is responsible for Forest Health-Insects part in the National 4-H Forestry Invitational.

    Currently, Dr. Park is an assistant professor of entomology program at Division of Plant and Soil Science, West Virginia University. His research focuses on insect ecology and pest
management  using advanced technology such as biosensors, unmanned aerial vehicles, and satellites.

Prior to joining WVU, he earned his bachelor’s (1993) and master’s degrees (1997) at Seoul National University in South Korea and received a doctorate degree from Iowa State University (2003).  Then, he became a postdoctoral research associate at the University of California Riverside.  Currently, he teaches Principles of Entomology, Forest Pest Management, and Urban Tree and Shrub Health at West Virginia University.
