Description: February 12 Chocolate: The Food of the Gods Hayes Jackson In this lecture you will learn about the ancient Mayans and Aztecs and their love of chocolate and how it became a worldwide culinary sensation. Chocolate has an interesting history of how it spread from a beverage of the Aztec royalty to the mainstay of an American sweet tooth. We will look into the production of the coca bean and the differences in dark, milk and white chocolate. Join us as we delve into the ultimate sweetness of chocolate, the legendary food of the gods.
