This one-day workshop is an opportunity for women landowners to learn about one of the most important forest management topics -" Thinning! Learn about proper timing and methods of thinning to improve ecosystem health, benefit wildlife and promote tree and forest plant growth. Where? Auburn University School of Forestry and Wildlife Sciences, 602 Duncan Drive, Auburn, AL 36849 When? 8:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday, October 15 Who can attend? This program is especially for women who love nature and learning about the natural world. You don't have to own a lot of land. If you have just a few acres, this workshop is for you, too! What is the cost? The $35/person fee includes a workbook to keep; breaks and lunch. Seating is limited, so preregistration is required. Description: Annie's Project is a six week program designed for women on the farm to learn more about farm finances and risk management practices. The workshop series will be held at the Barbour County Extension Office on Monday evening from September 10 through October 15.
