Description: Master Gardener Volunteer Training classes will be held each Wednesday at the Dale County Extension Office taught by Auburn University and Extension Specialist, Regional Extension Agents, and Certified Master Gardeners. Subject matter includes: plant nutrition, plant id, turf grass, landscape management, landscape design, entomology, plant diseases, vegetable gardening, home fruit production, and more. Fifty hours of volunteer service is required to become a Certified Master Gardener. Cost of the course is $135 by August 1st, after which price increases to $150.

Description: Live Well Faith Communities is a series evidence based program that focuses on helping faith based organizations promote healthy eating, increase access to healthy foods and physical activity in communities of faith. October 3rd- will focus on how to shop for value and how to plan, shop, fix and eat healthy. October 10th- How to choose and incorporate more fruit and vegetables in the diet as well as how to prepare food safe. October 24th- Making Smart Drink Choices and understanding the more you do, the better for you. October 31st- How to Make the Connection.
