Description: As Spring comes into the Wiregrass Region, your plants, shrubs and trees will once again come under attack from diseases and insects. Be ready to recognize the warning signs and know how to prevent and manage impacts from costly diseases and insects. This three hour workshop will focus on the native diseases and insects currently affecting landscape and urban forestry, as well as potential new invasive threats. Description: The Alabama Cooperative Extension System is pleased to offer a course called "Farming 101" for new and transitioning farmers. This is the first time this program has been presented and participants will receive valuable information on a variety of topics and other resources to help them accomplish their goals. This session will focus on GAP/Produce Safety, pesticide licenses, grower permits, and organics and presented by James Miles. The cost of the entire session is $80 or you can select the session(s) of your choice for $10 each and it includes materials and refreshments.
