Description: This program is designed for anyone who has interest in expanding their knowledge to raise sheep and goats to sustain production. Program will be held at Talladega County Extension Office , 130 N. Court St.Talladega, AL 35160, Phone:(256) 362-6187. Presentation and classroom discussions will cover several management issues of sheep and goat management such as: tagging, injection sites, hoof health management, FAMACHA system for worm control, newborn care, CMT (California Mastitis Test) to identify does and ewes with mastitis, body condition scoring, nutritional and good forage management, biosecurity measures, disposal of medication and others substances. Lunch will be provided. Hands-on demonstrations will be held at a local sheep or goat producer farm after lunch. Time 9:00 to Noon -" Class Room 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm -" Hands-on Demonstrations

Description: Deer and Turkey Seasons are over, so what do I do with my hunting land until I plant food plots in Fall? If this question has ever crossed your mind, or you would just like to learn more about effective wildlife management techniques, this workshop is targeted for you. 'After the Hunt: Year-round Wildlife Management' will focus on wildlife and forestry management techniques and property enhancements that can be completed between the hunting seasons (April to September). This all day, in-depth workshop will be hosted at the Coffee County Extension Office and cover topics like Summer Forages and Food plots, Forestry Management Practices, Predator Control and Trapping, Roads and Culverts, Invasive Plants and Herbicides, and Camera Surveys. There will also be live demonstrations of some of the techniques discussed in class. Lunch will be provided to attendees, therefore pre-registration is required.
