Description: City of Huntsville Operation Green Team's 2018 Earth Day Festival at Hays Nature Preserve on Saturday, April 21 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. located at 7161 U.S. Hwy 431, South, Owens Cross Roads, Alabama. For the past four years Alabama Extension has been a sponsor of the butterfly releases, one of the most anticipated Earth Day activities taking place at 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. Thousands of people attended Operation Green Team's Earth Day Festival in 2017 and another record-breaking crowd is expected this year. This event is free and features more than 80 earth-friendly exhibitors with informative displays and demonstrations. Be sure to pack a lunch or enjoy free hot dogs, drinks, and popcorn, and bring a reusable water bottle to use at refill stations.
