Description: A Private Applicator uses or supervises the use of any pesticide for producing any agricultural commodity on property owned or rented, or on the property of another person if applied without compensation. This is a full training course that is complete with a testing period after the course in order to provide the Private Applicator permit to the participant. *Additional fee of $25.00 shall be forwarded by the applicant to the Department of Ag for Permit. Commercial applicator points will be awarded in AP (Ag Plant) and D&R (Demonstration and Research).

Description: QuickBooks for Small Business will be held at the Impact Learning Center, 23123 John T. Reid Parkway, Scottsboro, AL 35768 in two morning sessions on April 9 and 10 from 9:00 -12:00. The Impact Learning Center is the workforce development training center for the Scottsboro-Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. Description: The purpose of this event is to train those who wish to train their own agricultural workers and pesticide handlers. A person with a commercial or private applicator license is already qualified to train; however, by attending this event the person will learn how to conduct training and receive training materials. This event is NOT intended to train the employees. It is strictly to train trainers (farm owners, managers, nursery supervisors, etc.). There is no registration fee, but pre-registration is required.
