Description: This program is designed for anyone who has interest in expanding their knowledge to raise sheep and goats to sustain production. Program will be held at Alabama A&M University Winfred Thomas Agricultural Research Station , 372 Walker Lane, Hazel Green, AL 35762. Presentation and classroom discussions will cover several management issues of sheep and goat management such as: tagging, injection sites, hoof health management, FAMACHA system for worm control, newborn care, CMT (California Mastitis Test) to identify does and ewes with mastitis, body condition scoring, nutritional and good forage management, biosecurity measures, disposal of medication and others substances. Lunch will be provided.
