Beginners Beekeeping Course 2018 The Saugahatchee Beekeepers Association and Claybird Bee Education Association, in cooperation with the Lee County Cooperative Extension System, will be conducting the 12th annual Beginners Beekeeping Course, beginning Tuesday, January 9, 2018 and continuing weekly, ending on Feb 27. We will meet weekly, on Tuesday, beginning at 6:00 PM at the Lee County Cooperative Extension System, 600 S. 7th Street, Opelika, Alabama. Each session will last about 1hr 30 minutes. Cost of the course is $55.00, which includes course fee, the textbook and a 1-year membership in the Saugahatchee Beekeepers Association. This course will enable the aspiring beekeeper to have honeybees this spring. You will need to bring note taking materials with you. Registration will be at the door. We expect to have honeybees available on Mar 28. Bees are not included in the course fee.The course will be taught by Damon Wallace, Master Beekeeper, along with Greg and Sam .
