Description: Many homeowners battle insects and wildlife in their lawns, gardens, and backyards. Whether it is the increasing number of ant hills, moles tunneling across the yard, or the worms in the vegetable garden they are all considered pest in need of eradication. In effort to help those dealing with nuisance pest and wildlife, the Alabama Extension System will be hosting a Backyard Insects and Wildlife program at the Pike County Extension Office on September 28th, 2017 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Topics will include: the control of fire ants and other home pest, lawn and garden insects, and managing wildlife for homeowners.
