Description: Join us for 3 days of outdoor fun! We will fish, kayak, cook out, play frisbee golf, and more! Plus, the High School Bass Fishing World Finals will be in town, and we get to help with weigh-ins each afternoon. We will start and end at McFarland Park each day; transportation to different activities will be provided. Health forms and water waivers are required for each 4-H'er. Participants must be at least 9 years old to attend. ($25) Pre-registration is required (see event website); limited to 15 youth so register early! Description: The Geneva County Extension office, along with the Wiregrass RC&D Council, and the Geneva County NRCS, will hold an irrigation scheduling meeting on Thursday June 29th, at 5:15 PM at the Geneva County Farm Center. The meeting is open to all producers who use irrigation systems on their farms, or are considering installing an irrigation system. The meeting will feature presentations by Extension agents, as well as Dr. Brenda Ortiz from Auburn University. Description: QuickBooks for Farmers is a two evening class to train farmers on using the basic features of QuickBooks Pro accounting software. The first evening will cover building a sample farm file and entering sample data. The second evening will review a completed sample farm's year-end reports. This allows students to see a full year of QuickBooks data.
