Description: The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) and Auburn University Fisheries and Allied Aquacultures Department are offering Fish Camp-"five days of intense fun and hands-on activities blended into a creative learning experience that provides the broadest possible exposure to natural resource careers with an emphasis on aquaculture, fisheries, and aquatic ecology. This camp involves a lot of field/outdoor activity and is a great opportunity to learn from Auburn's renowned fisheries, aquaculture, and aquatic ecology professionals. The camp is open to high school students age 15-18. Students will have the opportunity to make their own lures, fish for a trophy size bass in the AU fisheries research ponds, kayak in the Coosa River, seine a fish pond, see flying carp, and much more. Students will experience an amazing campus-life in this one week program full of evening social and recreational activities. Camp participants will have 24/7 counselor supervision.

Description: The Right Bite Healthy Diabetes Cooking School was designed to show people how to enjoy consuming healthy food. Through hands-on experiences the group will prepare delicious meals and snacks to control and prevent diabetes and other chronic diseases. The six sessions covers information on portion control; reading labels; uses of sweeteners; carbohydrates and selecting healthier food at the store and preparing recipes lower in fat, cholesterol, sugar, sodium, etc.

Description: Today's Mom is comprised of a series of six lessons, each containing clearly stated goals. Each lesson consists of verbal and written instructions along with interactive activities designed to help moms-to-be learn to make healthy diet and physical activity choices for themselves and their babies. Today's Mom lessons are designed for ease of preparation and implementation. Lessons are scripted to make delivery easy. Accompanying materials reinforce lesson concepts and make learning about healthy eating simple and fun. Each lesson includes hands-on activities, recipes, and more. Activities reinforce concepts in ways that are fun and interactive.
