Description: This program is designed to educate goat and sheep producers on the modified McMaster technique, as an alternative to integrated parasite control practice. The McMaster or flotation technique is a tool that will enable producers to test for gastro-intestinal (GI) parasites resistance to anthelminthics and identify animal resilient/resistant to GI parasitism in a herd. Producers will have access to microscopes and lab supplies, and have fun learning this technique. This program will be held at Whispering Pines Farm, 206 Adams mill Rd.
