Description: Deer and Turkey Seasons are over, so what do I do with my hunting land until I plant food plots in Fall? If this question has ever crossed your mind, or you would just like to learn more about effective wildlife management techniques, this workshop is targeted for you. 'After the Hunt: Year-round Wildlife Management' will focus on wildlife and forestry management techniques and property enhancements that can be completed between the hunting seasons (April to September). This all day, in-depth workshop will be hosted at the Prattville Bass Pro Shops Islamorada Restaurant and cover topics like Summer Forages and Food plots, Forestry Management Practices, Predator Control and Trapping, Roads and Culverts, Invasive Plants and Herbicides, and Camera Surveys. There will also be live demonstrations of some of the techniques discussed in class. Lunch will be provided to attendees, therefore pre-registration is required. Description: Equipment on display has potential to be utilized in small farm situations. A USDA representative will be there to talk about their programs. Goal is to create awareness of technical and equipment resources. Preregistration is encouraged, to do so contact the Cullman County Extension Office at 256-737-9386 or e-mail at cullmancounty@auburn.edu.
