Description: "Diabetes 101 - Understanding the Disease" will be the topic for this month's meeting. This topic will be presented by a trained Extension Educator and we will look at what is diabetes, risk factors, cause, and symptoms. We will also share recipes and have a taste testing where we will sample diabetic friendly recipes.

Description: A Private Applicator uses or supervises the use of any pesticide for producing any agricultural commodity on property owned or rented, or on the property of another person if applied without compensation. This is a testing period after studying the Study Manual in order to provide the Private Applicator permit to the participant after scoring at least 70. *Additional fee of $25.00 shall be forwarded by the applicant to the Department of Ag for Permit.

Description: Beef Quality Assurance (BQA) is a nationally coordinated, state implemented program that provides education and training for cattle producers about good animal husbandry and management. The goal of BQA is to help producers raise cattle under the best management and environmental conditions possible. The training is practical and based on scientific knowledge. BQA guidelines are also designed to ensure all beef consumers can trust and have confidence in the entire beef industry. Participants in this BQA training will have the opportunity to engage in four interactive rotations to learn about: 1. different options for animal identification and record keeping, as well as how to most effectively manage the data recorded for improved herd production and profitability 2. how to evaluate brood cows every year based on 'Seven Quality Checks' 3. safe livestock handling and hauling 4. how to administer all animal health products to beef cattle

Description: The Cullman Circuit Court has mandated that all divorcing parents of minor children must attend one KidsCope parenting session that will last approximately two hours. *FEE: $20 per person if applications and payment are received by the Cullman County Extension Office prior to the session. A late fee of $5.00 will be charged if you pay at the time of the session. FEE MUST BE PAID BY MONEY ORDER OR CASH ONLY--NO LARGE BILLS OR CHECKS WILL BE ACCEPTED.
