Description: The Alabama Cooperative Extension System (ACES) wants to invite you to the 2012 Alabama Grazing Management Clinic on August 8, 2012 from 8:00am to 4:30 pm at the Pike Road Volunteer Fire Department. Speakers from ACES and NRCS will present several “best management practices” for interested livestock graziers in Central Alabama. Description: The Community Health Aerobic Motivational Program Initiating Optimal Nutrition (CHAMPION) was designed to improve the overall health of children, teens, adults, including the elderly through lifestyle changes such as adopting obtainable and safe eating practices, daily physical activity, and improving behavioral habits to aid in the prevention, intervention, and maintenance of chronic diseases. There are many stages of this program for all audiences. Children and teens under the age of 18 will only be taught nutrition education and the importance of physical activity. Individuals age 18 and older participate in the weight management component that includes classes on nutrition, physical activity, and chronic diseases.
