Description: The Community Health Aerobic Motivational Program Initiating Optimal Nutrition (CHAMPION) was designed to improve the overall health of children, teens, adults, including the elderly through lifestyle changes such as adopting obtainable and safe eating practices, daily physical activity, and improving behavioral habits to aid in the prevention, intervention, and maintenance of chronic diseases. There are many stages of this program for all audiences. Children and teens under the age of 18 will only be taught nutrition education and the importance of physical activity. Individuals age 18 and older participate in the weight management component that includes classes on nutrition, physical activity, and chronic diseases.

Description: Celebrating National Dairy Month, a one hour workshop to teach youth how to make ice cream in a bag and other dairy snacks will be conducted. In addition, youth will learn important nutrients they receive from dairy products and how essential they are to the body.
