An estimated 43 percent of people in the U.S. say they gain weight during the holiday season. If you would like some new ideas on healthier and safer holidays you may want to attend a program on "Healthy Holiday Foods" A Matter of Choice" being offered by the Limestone County Extension Office on Tuesday, December 4. Sign-in will begin at 9:15, and the program will begin at 9:30 and end by noon. The program will be held at the Limestone County Market Street Building, 1109 W. Market Street in Athens.
The program will be conducted by Shirley Whitten and Emily Campbell, Regional Extension Agents for the Alabama Cooperative Extension System. Topics will include food safety during the holidays, healthier holiday foods and food demonstrations. |
