| Description: |
Do you enjoy spending time in the outdoors? Would you like to learn more about the natural diversity that exists in this place we call Alabama? Are you interested in learning more about Alabama’s geology, fauna and flora and how these things are all related? Would you like to learn how you can be involved in the management of Alabama’s natural resources? Then, you will want to participate in the Alabama Master Naturalist program training.
This first workshop will begin with an overview of the Alabama Master Naturalist Program followed by classroom instruction and field experiences related to the biodiversity of Alabama’s diverse forest lands. Workshop participants will learn how to use a simple field guide to identify a variety of trees as well as go on a walking field trip through a diverse forested area to see, and experience first-hand the concepts and information that are covered during the workshop. |
