Forage Basics, a free online course from the Alabama Cooperative Extension System, is an opportunity to further educate producers and supporters of the Alabama livestock and forage industry. The course covers basic forage management principles such as nutrition, budgeting, pest control, hay production, and more. The main goal of the course is for forage producers to improve their overall management skills and improve profitability within their system. After a student completes Forage Basics, they receive a certificate of completion.
