What's Happening in 4-H?

Welcome to the Bankhead Region

4-H Website

Over 3,000 youth ages 9 to 19 participate in 4-H clubs and youth events in the Bankhead Region of Northwest Alabama. These youth and their adult volunteer leaders have lots to brag about. Check back each month to see what else is happening.

• Junior Level 4-H youth win ribbons at Regional Congress, held at the University of Montevallo, June 22 & 23.

• Senior Level 4-H youth win ribbons and trophies at State Congress, held at Auburn University, June 26-28.

• The Winston County 4-H Shooting Sports Team placed 12th at the National 4-H Shooting Sports Invitational.

• Walker County Wildlife Habitat Evaluation Teams placed second in the junior division and third in the senior division.

• Over 200 youth from the Bankhead Region attended 4-H camp at the State 4-H Camping Center, June 12-14. For photos click here.

• Marion County Forestry Judging Team places 3rd at State Contest.

• Lamar County Dairy Judging Team places 1st in Junior Division at State Contest. Fayette County claims 2nd in Senior Division.

• Fayette County Livestock Judging Team places 2nd at State Contest.
