The Accordent Capture Station

Accordent Technologies' Capture Station is an internet appliance that records the speaker and accompanying material simultaneously in two windows on a Windows-based computer. The Capture Station produces synchronized capture files of a video input such as a live camera, videotape, DVD, or studio switcher in one window, and the VGA output of a computer, electronic whiteboard, document camera, Powerpoint slides, or screen capture, in an adjacent window.

The Capture Station generates:

  • A Live Windows Media stream, as in a live instructional or informational video conference from our studio with a live phone tie-in;

  • An archived Windows Media stream that is streamed from our Windows Media Server located at: http://wms.aces.edu/accordent/

  • A distributable CD or DVD

ACES Presenters may opt to use the room-based Capture Station in our studio to compose their training presentations, or have their presentation recorded live on-location, then edited in the Capture Station post-training and distributed as described above.
