Windows Media 9 Multimedia
The new Windows Media Encoder 9 serves as the basic
tool for encoding and combining multimedia generated on our Multimedia
Lab computers. Using primarily Microsoft applications, WME9 combines
elements that run online in Internet Explorer, Windows
Media Player, or Microsoft PowerPoint.
Our system provides for the integration of HTML, AVI, WMA, and WMV
formats from Windows Media Encoder, PPT files from PowerPoint and DOC
files from Word, allowing users to create multimedia-enhanced online
presentations. The multimedia lab webcasts the Windows Media 9 .wmv
video format in a 320x240 window to computers with Windows Media Player
9 installed at mms://wms.aces.edu/media/satellite. We also provide an
archive of the project in the WMV video format in the satellite
directory on the ACES WWW server, so specialists can link to the file
from their Web site for distribution. Take a look at the
4-H Capital Campaign video or the most recent Logger
Continuing Education video. Visit Streaming Media
for more examples.
