Meet Our New President!!!!
Kathleen "Kathy" Douglas
Cleburne County
Kathy currently works as the Administrative Support Associate II in the Cleburne County Office. She has been employed with the Alabama Cooperative Extension System for seven years.
She has been married to Rick Douglas for 28 years. They share his two children and three grandchildren-Devon (15), Morgan (9), and Shelby (7). Her mother who is 85 years old is still living alone in Minnesota and Rick's mom who is 93 years old lives in Dallas. They moved to Alabama in 1990 and now call it home. They have a Great Pyrenees dog name Dora who is 2 years old and weighs 90 pounds.
Her hobbies include singing/listening to praise & worship music; writing music and stories; canning; reading, computing; cooking for friends and family; making up her own recipes; gardening and harvesting her own tomatoes; and rearranging furniture just to confuse her husband!!!
What she enjoys most about Extension is that she learns right along with the citizens of her county. She believes that the access she has to so much wonderful information makes her a more informed person. She enjoys ESPA because she can connect with others in similar jobs and that friendship lasts forever!
