Cathy Banning

Baldwin County

Cathy is the Administrative Support Assistant I in Baldwin County. She began working for Alabama Cooperative Extension System part-time in June of 1997 and became full time in June 2009. She has been married 27 years to her husband, Dean, and they have three children-Holly (25), Jesse (22) and Caitlin (9). Her hobbies include crochet, loom knit, and cross stitch.

One of Cathy's reasons for working for ACES is he finds it both rewarding and satisfying to work in an educational environment. Even her small contribution gives her a feeling of accomplishment. Her freedom to be creative on producing flyers and newsletters gives her a sense of pride. She is looking forward to meeting other administrative professionals during the ESPA annual meeting. Cathy feels that the opportunity to share and learn from each other is invaluable and provides insight into how others deal with the many varied challenges that occur on a daily basis in the county office.
