The Annual ESPA Professional Improvement Seminar & Awards Banquet was held at the Little River Canyon Center in Fort Payne, AL on May 13-15, 2009. One important aspect of the professional improvement seminar is the professional recognition of our members. The following awards were presented to our deserving recipients:

The Professional Recognition Award recognizes an ESPA member for outstanding performance in Extension support service.   Congratulations To Donna Mahrous AU State Staff	The Special Achievement Award recognizes an ESPA members for exhibiting outstanding ability and expertise and who far exceeds the norm in one or more phases of their job performance. Congratulations To Kathleen Douglas Cleburne County
The ESPA Merit Award recognizes an ESPA member for outstanding service in administrative support to ACES and ESPA. Congratulations to Sharon Fox Washington County	The ESPA Member of the Year Award recognizesan ESPA member for outstanding contributions to the organization, such as dedication or commitment to certain aspects of the organization.   Congratulations to Karen Bixler Montgomery County
