Ten Reasons To Join 4-H

Four-H is more than a club; it is a way of life. Four-H is the largest non-formal youth education organization in the United States, with more than 5.6 million youth between the ages of 9 and 19 involved each year. Alabama has more than 85,000 active 4-H Club members.

Four-H programs provide exciting and fulfilling opportunities for youth to use their talents, create unique experiences and explore their interests.
Here are 10 reasons why young people join 4-H:
To develop skills to succeed in the workplace.
To improve goal-setting and decision-making skills.
To become a school or community leader.
To discover how our government works.
To learn to care for and protect the environment.
To have lots of fun while learning by doing.
To get to attend 4-H Citizen Washington Focus or
National 4-H Congress.
    To make lasting friendships.
To develop talents and skills that benefit them throughout life.
To help solve issues and problems facing youth today.
All this and more is possible in 4-H. Young people from all walks of life take in 4-H through school and community clubs, special interest groups, after-school programs, camps and other activities.
